Carter is 9 months old!

Carter is 9 months old! How time flies! He is super cute... but then again, I'm his mom. His first tooth just poked through the other day. People ask how teething is going and it's really hard to say. He has fussy days but I can't point to it being teething.
He is getting closer to being a busy crawler. He's been rocking on his hands and knees for weeks and is pretty good at moving backwards, but he just started putting out his hands and moving the back of his body forward for a few "steps" (or are they called crawls?) over the past few days. One thing Carter is really good at is going from laying down to sitting up position and back to laying. It is so easy for him that I almost forget how tricky that is for babies to figure out how to do. Between going from laying to sitting, crawling backwards and scooting on his behind while sitting, he can pretty much get anywhere in a room... until he gets to hardwood floor and then all bets are off (he fusses and pushes himself backwards until he reaches a wall or some other barrier).
