The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we took our annual fall trip to a pumpkin patch. After three years of the Cal Poly Pomona patch, this year we went to Lombardi Ranch in Saugus. (We debated other places, like Underwood Farm, but because of the heat and Carter's need to nap, we opted for something a little closer with free admission.) It was a pretty fun time, especially considering how hot it was there!

The kids liked climbing up the giant pyramid of hay and enjoyed the view from the top.

Carter had fun on the bumpy wagon ride.
Ashlynn's favorite part of our time at the pumpkin patch was getting to ride on a pony.

We waited until the end to pick our pumpkins. Ashlynn picked out little pumpkins for herself and Carter "because we're still little".
One cool thing about the Lombardi Ranch pumpkins is that many of them have really long stems. Here's one of the pumpkins we took home.

Love the long stems! Your kids are so photogenic, along with their parents! Looks like a fun time was had.
