Halloween!

Wow! With Halloween falling on a Sunday, we had 3 straight days of Halloween fun. It started on Friday with the parade at my school (Ashlynn had Pajama Day at her school). Here are some of the people from my staff:
33 of my 36 fourth grade kiddos
After school we went to the Mittelman's party (Ashlynn's preschool friend, Lauren).

Isn't their house beautiful?
Here's Ashlynn and Evan (her preschool and Mayflower friend... Evan's mom gives Ashlynn a ride home 4 days a week). They are a really cute pair because they have a lot of fun together.

My cute little Mickey Mouse (or as Carter says "Me-me Mouse").

That night, in the midst of her excited reflection on the day, Ashlynn head-butted me in the brow bone. She was fine but I got a lovely bump and a shiner. Here's what it looked like on Sunday morning, which is better than it is now (the bump is now yellow and most of the lid is purplish-red):
On Saturday afternoon Ashlynn and I went to Mayflower's Fall Festival. It was pretty simple. Each grade had a game booth, like goldfish toss and milk bottle throw, a small pumpkin patch, a craft booth, face painting and then there was Cold Stone ice cream and a Weinerschnitzel truck.
Here's Gretchen and Sophia
Mr. McGinnis, the principal, was dressed up as a nerd with a "Kick me" sign on his back. I wonder how many people actually kicked him.

Ashlynn's fancy skeleton (check out the purple glitter face!)
Goldfish toss! She actually won a certificate for a goldfish... I'm hoping she'll forget!

After church, Ashlynn and Eric carved 3 jack-o-lanterns

We had the grandparents over for a chili dinner.

My favorite... carved from the pumpkin that grew in our back yard!
Off to trick-or-treat on our street

Happy Halloween!
