On May 1st, Eric's Aunt Laurie flew down from Sacramento to treat us to a fun family day at Disneyland. Both kids were thrilled (well, I knew about it ahead of time and was thrilled for the weeks leading up to it too)!
Our first ride of the day was Peter Pan!

Carter was ready for more fun before we got on the ride... He had spotted the carousel.

(A nice picture, despite the poor lighting.)

Carter picked the second ride...

One of my favorite photos of Ashlynn, ever. Love her smile!

Next up, Dumbo!

Casey Jr. Train Ride... Carter's #1 favorite ride of the day (He went on it 3 times that day... once with Laurie, Ashlynn and me, once with Grandpa, Ashlynn and me, and once with Eric, Brian and Grandpa.)

Ashlynn seemed to like it quite a bit too!

Ashlynn's roller coaster trial run... the Gadget Go-Coaster in Toontown

After that, she was ready for the big roller coasters! We rode Matterhorn! (I wish my favorite, Thunder Mountain, was working because I bet she would have loved that one too.)

The verdict: She thought it was fun and wanted to ride again.

Carter, awake after a little 45 minute nap. Thanks Phil!

Checking out a parade

Another favorite ride of both kids, It's a Small World

He looks like such a big boy!

Ashlynn and the mountain she conquered!

And then Carter saw an airplane

Ashlynn got Uncle Brian to do some dancing at Downtown Disney before dinner and going home

The kid has got moves!

Thanks Auntie Laurie for a fun day! It was a wonderful treat!

You guys covered a lot of ground! Jenna's been asking me to take her on that roller coaster in Toon Town but I told her she needs to wait for Daddy. Carter does look so grown up in some of those shots.
Looks like you guys had lots of fun. It really nice that Aunt Laurie can join you and become closer to the kids.
Wow! Ashlynn's a little dare devil! Julianna wanted nothing to do with those scary rides (including Alice in Wonderland) when we went in February. Each at their own pace... :)
