Here is the photo that will serve as our annual "Christmas tree" photo. Yes, I know there isn't a Christmas tree in the photo, but I realized we hadn't taken the annual photo until after our dry tree was out on the curb, so this stockings shot will have to serve to show how the kids have grown.
Since Christmas, this is how we've spend our days:
26th- We put our gifts away and then took the tree down. Eric's family came over for dinner before his aunt left to go home (my family was still suffering from a bug).
The kids' toys were in a big battle.

| All those toys were battling 3 enemy cars, but it appears that the dolls did not fare too well. |
After the trampoline dried out from the rain, there was some jumping.
In the afternoon, Ashlynn wore her new leotard to gymnastics. It was a great day at the gym because there were no private lessons going on and her class was really small. (Sorry, the photos aren't great, but I didn't want to use a flash with my point and shoot, the light wasn't great, and she was constantly moving.)
After dinner that evening I got to go out for dessert with my friend, Marina. We just sat and talked for hours.
On Friday, Eric and Carter met our friends Bo and Jakie at Cable Airport for breakfast, airplane watching, and checking out Bo's Porsche.
I'm so proud of Eric for actually using the camera.
Carter pretending to drive the Porsche (that kid loves fast cars).
That same day Ashlynn and I had a special Mommy-Daughter lunch at Casa del Rey followed by some yarn shopping at Michael's.
In the evening, my former student and now friend, Kristen, came over to hang out with our family. We played "Disney Apples to Apples", made pizza for dinner, and talked about things like traveling to Europe. Eric slipped out at dinnertime to meet some of his guy friends for Indian food and hanging out.
On Saturday we hung out with one of our favorite families, the Mountains. The kids played while the adults talked.
While dinner was cooking, the kids decorated cookies.
Good times!
